Aquarius Lodge is positioned in Bilene less than 20 meters from the water. This small town, known as San Martino in the days of Portuguese Mozambique, is placed on a hill overlooking the expansive waters of the Uembje Lagoon. It is a gigantic body of about 8 km wide and 27 km long, plummeting down to depths of 50 meters, but shallow enough around the shores which is perfect for children.

Even though the white sands and crystal clear lagoon make you feel as if you are in Greece, this is real Africa with rolling sand dunes, lush vegetation and just a boat ride away, the powerful waves of the Indian Ocean.
