Driving Directions:Sylvia Shoal Lodge is about 600 km north of Maputo, close to the town of Massinga. From the border follow the road signs to the City of Maputo. Approaching Maputo follow the EN1, to Xai-Xai. The EN1 is the main road from Maputo to Beira. When approaching the Town of INHAMBANE the road will fork. Choose the left leg from the town of LINDELE. The road signs at the fork will indicate MAXIXE EN1 to the left. (The other leg will take you to INHAMBANE.) You will pass through the town of Masinga, and 5km further you'll see the Sylva Shoal Lodge sign (on your left hand side), turn off to your right. Follow the 10 km red sand road down to Sylvia Shoal Lodge.
